With this document, you authorize a person you trust to represent you when inspecting the files at the building authority. The person may collect the building files with the building permit and floor plan and everything in the file on your behalf. They may take photos and order copies. Copies are particularly advisable when it comes to floor plans, old documents or detailed drawings. These are often easier to read on copies than on cell phone photos. It is important that the trusted person has the power of attorney with them and can show it to the building authority. The authorized person can then officially represent you and can also inspect the files at the building authority. We recommend that the trusted person can identify themselves in addition to the power of attorney. This can be, for example, the identity card or driving license of the trusted person. Your representative should also have a document relating to the property in question. This could be an extract from the land register, for example, or the property tax assessment notice from the tax office or the local authority.
